Personal relationship with God
Thursday, March 5, 2009

I am really so excited to share with you about the most recent and powerful God's revelation to me... :) :)

Few days ago, I was asking my mom: "How can I know whether I am growing (in my relationship with God) or not?".
Then, my mom tried to answer me..
There was one sentence she told me that really spoke to me personally...
The growth in my personal relationship with God can be measured by how eager I am to read God's word and to pray...
My growth may not be measured by how active I am in attending services or in Ministry...
But it can be measured by how eager I am to spend my quality time with God in MY ROOM...
It is where there is only God and me...
No one is watching and no one is supervising...

Although I might have heard it a lot of times before, but it really spoke to me personally and I really thank God for reminding me to always be faithful in reading His word and spending time with Him..
Everyday, I really want to know Him more.. :)

The right decison
Sunday, March 1, 2009

I really want to thank God for helping me to make the right decision of going mission trip to Thailand. I know that if it is God's will, everything will be so smooth and He will direct us to the right decision. I really thank God for making it so clear to me that it is His will for me to go for mission trip to Thailand. I am writing this to remind myself the goodness of God and how God has used different ways to lead me to the right decision. :)

1. I always wanted to go to Thailand for mission trip. Actually, I dunno why I want to go specifically to Thailand for mission trip. I guess I will find this answer when I am in Thailand. :) However, I always couldnt go because of the time clash with my internships. :( Finally, now there is no more clash and the time just fit nicely. :)

2. Initially, I have a choice between going for mission trip to Thailand or going for graduation trip to Korea. My good friend said that she and her group will go Korea and asked me whether I want to join her cos she knows that I want to go Korea for graduation trip. After thinking about it, I kind of prefer to Korea, instead of Thailand (hmmm... I guess the flesh is quite weak...) However, few days later, she told me that the trip changed to Taiwan. Hmmmm.. I am not very interested to go Taiwan and therefore I told her that I will get back to her again.

3. Initially my mother did not really agree cos she felt that its not really a mission trip, rather it is a humanitarian work. However, finally she allowed me to go because she heard a pastor preaching in the church about evangelism. Evanglism is not only about preaching the gospel to unbelievers, but also about the way we behave and treat other people. Although its a simple message and she must have heard for a lot of times before, I believe God spoke to her during the service. Thank God for His revelation to my mom. :)

4. Initially, the mission trip is at the end of May, which is quite long time after my last day of school. However, due to some reasons, the date is changed to 14 May, which is only 6 days after my last day of school. I really thank God for this timing beacuse then I dont have to wait for very long before I go for mission trip and I can spend more time with my family in Indonesia before I start working.

I really thank God because all these things lead me to make the right decision of going to Thailand for mission trip. :)
I believe that this mission trip will not just be another mission trip, but I will be able to know and experience God in a great way!
I will prepare myself by reading God's word and seek Him through prayers.

I am so excited for this Mission Trip! :) :) :)
